He is old and has put on a few pounds and got a few cats, but we can still love him for what he did in his 20’s.
Here is a fan video that someone did for “Last Caress” that’s pretty awesome.
I don’t have much explaining to do about this video, just watch and enjoy. I spelled the favorite British style, because I believe Justin would want it that way.
If you are heading out to the LBC today for Formula D, I’ll see you there.
I have never been much of a fan of Ratatat, in fact I saw them live and was not impressed; there is nothing wrong with their musicianship or songs at all. I think my past dislike of them was due to the fact that I am not one for instrumental music, I enjoy classical music from time to time and also enjoy a bit of ” French” house music such as Daft Punk and Justice, but overall I like my music to have lyrics. With this being said I would like to go back to my orginal comment of Ratatat finding their calling, which is beats for hip hop songs.
I have had the Kid Cudi album for a while now and haven’t really listened to it (I’ve been on bit of a Nirvana kick lately) but I happened to be flipping through the channels and came across this video on MTVU and was blown away. Not only does it have MGMT singing the hook, but the beats are freaking amazing. This song really proves that when you get a group of people that are extremely talented together, good things happen.
Not only is the music to the song amazing but Cudi’s lyrics and delivery are equally amazing. The song really illustrates the highs and lows of partying and reminds me of the good old days (pre-baby). It took some balls to make a track without the usual R&B singer hook and typical hip-hop beats, but Cudi has really pulled it off. So check out the video and hopefully there will be some more good stuff like this in the future.
Kevin, your internet search skills amaze me.
This is one of the best internet video clips ever.
I directly copied this from pitchfork:
In the middle of an Italian radio interview aimed at promoting his Pretty Green clothing line, former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher revealed that he’s currently working on music with all of his old Oasis band mates not named Noel. (Via Billboard.) Their new band, however, won’t be called Oasis. “Oasis is done,” he reiterated, expressing a long-overdue and now factual sentiment.
In the interview, he also mentioned that his new band should start gigging “in a couple of months” and that the end of Oasis climaxed with a guitar smashing session between him and his brother. (Via NME.) Would you expect anything less?
I think Noel is going to fair much better than Liam after all the dust clears from the break up. Who knows though maybe Liam will pull something out of his uni-brow and surprise me.
I’m supposed to be doing an interview with these guys for LAT, if their manager or whoever he is doesn’t get back to me soon. I’m gonna spoof the interview with Mike. The clock is ticking……
Am I the only one that is tripped out by the fact that he is a country singer? Isn’t he like a frat boy from Florida? I remember when his band was on MTV every 10 mins and that dude was golfing and shit on the videos.
Then again one of the biggest names in country is Australian and is married to Nicole Kidman.
One thing that Hootie does have, is one of the best bars in Vegas. There is a Hootie bar in The Silverton Casino and that place is bad ass:
Beers are cheap, the food is good and super cheap, and they have a bowling alley inside a double-wide inside the casino.
Also every time I’ve been there, our waitress was some Euro-trash x-model who did not look happy to be working there. I love that place.
In research of this post I learned it is no longer Hootie themed but it is exactly the same place, minus Hootie.
